Purpose of processing personal data
Sena processes personal data in order to perform its statutory duties in accordance with Article 7 of the Neighbouring Rights Act. The processing of personal data relates, among other things, to the conclusion of agreements with performing artists and producers, as well as users of music.
In order to perform the agreements with performing artists and producers, Sena may use applications based on Artificial Intelligence. In addition, personal data is processed if you use Sena portals and the Sena app. If an application is made for the allocation of funds for social, cultural and educational purposes, personal data is also processed, for example for the performance of the agreement and for promotional purposes.
Personal data is data that says something about you. Your name or address, for example. Or the IP address of your computer. Sena may also ask for your personal data. For example, if you fill in an online form on our website or if you use MySena.
Sharing personal data
The performance of its statutory duties and other processing purposes may require Sena to share data, including personal data, with other collective management organisations, the Copyright Supervisory Board and other organisations. This is done on a legal basis, on the basis of an agreement, or because you have explicitly consented to it.

Naturally, we safeguard and respect your privacy, including by complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data sent by e-mail, post, via the Sena website or apps, or via other (electronic or non-electronic) means of communication will be retained for as long as necessary for the performance of the relevant agreement, for the provision of the relevant service, or for as long as required by law.
Security of personal data
We store all data you provide to us under lock and key using the latest technology. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Your privacy rights
You have the right to access your personal data (Article 15 GDPR) and the right to request correction or deletion of your personal data (Articles 16 and 17 GDPR). You may also object to the use of your data (Article 21 GDPR). If you would like to know which of your personal data is processed by Sena, you may submit a written request for access. If your data appears to be incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you may submit an additional request to have your data amended or supplemented. You can send your written requests to: Sena, access request GDPR, for the attention of Ms M.M.D. ter Weijden, PO Box 113, 1200 AC Hilversum, or send an email to privacy@sena.nl.
