Procedure for debt collection from international producers
Sena has concluded agreements with a large number of foreign collective management organisations (CMOs) for the claiming and payment of foreign funds.
Procedure for debt collection from producers abroad
Producers who have released their repertoire abroad can grant us a mandate to collect their neighbouring rights abroad. However, you must still hold the rights to the ‘fair remuneration’. In other words, you have not issued a collection mandate or transferred your rights to the licensee.
In most cases, we do not receive playlists from the CBOs that work for producers, but we register the repertoire with the foreign CBO on the basis of the mandates registered with Sena and “rights per title per country”.
The relevant CBO matches the registered repertoire with their play data, on the basis of which Sena is paid for these recordings.
RDx is an international database of all producers' repertoire. This international database is intended to facilitate the exchange of performance data.
Sena pays the fees from abroad during the next payment round (March, June, September or December).
