Sena abroad Music knows no boundaries. And because much of the music produced in the Netherlands is also popular abroad, it is important to arrange your rights outside the country's borders as well. Sena arranges your rights, even abroad.
Sena operates internationally
Most European countries have neighbouring rights legislation similar to that in the Netherlands. This means that if your music is played in other countries, you as the creator are entitled to remuneration. We have agreements with various foreign organisations. Thanks to these agreements, you only need to register with Sena. To do so, it is important that you give us a worldwide mandate or specify the rights per title per country so that we can represent you abroad. We will then ensure that if your music is played across the border, you will also receive remuneration for this.
How does our collection abroad work?
Has your music been played abroad? Then register your repertoire with us as soon as possible. The sooner, the better. We will then immediately start working on collecting your remuneration from abroad.
Have you, as a producer, released repertoire abroad?
Producers who have released their repertoire abroad can grant us a mandate to collect their neighbouring rights abroad. However, you must still hold the rights to the “fair remuneration”. In other words, you have not issued a collection mandate or given away your rights to the licensee.
Rights per title per country
In order to submit accurate and correct claims, we request the rights per title per country. This also prevents duplicate claims. As a result, you do not have to wait unnecessarily long for your remuneration and you receive what you are entitled to as quickly as possible.
Playlists from abroad
We process playlists from a large number of foreign radio and television stations. If you would like to know which stations we process, please send an email to servicedesk@sena.nl with the countries you are interested in and we will send you the list of stations.
