As stated in the 2025 annual report, disciplinary proceedings were filed against Sena’s auditors and the former independent financial expert member of the Supervisory Board concerning the financial years 2018 through 2024.

Status update on the 2025 auditor’s report

The complaint concerns the governance of social and cultural expenditure and the reporting procedures relating to the Dutch Performers House foundation.

For our auditor BDO, this was reason to decide not to accept the audit engagement. The disciplinary proceedings were withdrawn in May 2026, after which BDO was asked to accept the audit engagement after all.

Due to limited capacity and availability among the auditors, the audit work began in July 2026.

Pursuant to Article 2q, paragraph 1, of the Dutch Supervision and Dispute Resolution of Collective Management Organisations for Copyright and Related Rights Act, Sena is required to publish the 2025 transparency report no later than eight months after the end of the financial year, i.e. by 31 August 2026. Due to the circumstances explained above, a delay has occurred. At present, this delay is expected to amount to six weeks. Once the 2025 transparency report, accompanied by an unqualified auditor’s report, is available, this will be announced on our website and via MySena.

Sena will keep the Dutch Copyright and Neighbouring Right Collective Management Organizations Control Board informed of the progress at regular intervals.

If the above raises any questions, Sena’s management can provide further clarification upon request. The management can be reached at 035-625 1700 or sena@sena.nl.
