District Court of The Hague sets Sena rate for nationally operating FM radio stations

After a period of lengthy fruitless negotiations followed by legal proceedings that also lasted several years, on September 3, the District Court of The Hague ruled in the proceedings on the merits with the Association of Commercial Radio Stations et al. The rate set in the judgment is 10% of turnover, after deduction of acquisition costs, for 100% music use.

Sena always prefers to reach agreement on a fair rate through negotiation. Now that the court has had to determine this, we are pleased that neighboring music rights have been better valued in the interests of our rights holders (music companies, artists, and musicians). After all, music is the most important raw material for most radio stations.
